Holy cow noodles and stray sheep... This is amazing batman.. I mean CyborgBeefJerky! Love the blood stains and the mummified heads on the oddly appealing zombie bodies. My only question is... What is that Tai-Fighter doing on MJs head? O.o
This is all kinds of AWESOME. The nurses look fantastic, dude. The work you did for the cloth fabric wrapping around their heads is exceptional. Their skin is what makes it for me though--it has that realistic glow to it. I also love the BG you chose for this. I wonder, is it two BGs and you used the mist to divide them (if so, very savvy of you!)? I love the 3-D aspect of the song lyrics standing above the BG but behind the characters--looks great. My only gripe is that with how much detail you lent to the nurses, I feel like Pyramid Head's... head... could have used some more embellishment.
That said, this is a wonderful Silent Hill fan art that is wholly realized. I remember you telling me the idea for this at a party some time ago--well, it came out better and more imagined than what was going on in my head. Awesome job, dude!
Yeah, the BG was to separate parts divided by the mist--nice catch, there. The blood-soaked asphalt was created by using a texture and splatter brushes, then warping it for perspective. The actually city is in-game graphics clouded over with a soft brush.
Pyramid Head's noggin' was supposed to look more rusty and splotchy, but I think I made it too dark or something, 'cause it's not really noticeable--like, at all.
You ARE savvy. That was a very clever thing you did there (I'll have to remember that).
Dude, I know exactly how you feel. Samus' armor looked so badass on my cintiq (for that vs ridley pic) and then when it finally launched to dA it kinda lost it's flare. Not sure how that happens, but adjusting the Levels helps some. *_*
